PlanNet led the effort to upgrade the primary data center for a California-based provider of home and auto insurance to eliminate Single Point Failure (SPF) risks. A 450kW UPS, ATSs, and an additional generator output breaker was installed, HVAC equipment was re-circuited and a dual EPO system installed to provide 2N redundancy to critical loads.  The new UPS system required a building addition. The building addition was also designed and constructed for a future, additional UPS system.  PlanNet performed the SPF assessment, developed the upgrade plan, conceptual design, performance specs and RFP and helped select the design-build contractor. PlanNet reviewed detail design, provided construction support and led onsite commissioning.  Planning, design, construction, commissioning and cutover was performed in and around the live data center with no scheduled or unscheduled downtime.
